Lodging

Hyatt Place, the recently-remodeled hotel adjacent to Springstep, will be offering festivalgoers a discounted rate of $139 a night for up to 4 person occupancy. The benefits of staying in the hotel are many, since it's a great hotel and is right next to the weekend events. Once you get to there you won't need any transportation other than your feet for the events Friday through Sunday; you will be able to walk to restaurants and to workshops and milongas at Springstep.

We've also negotiated a special rate at the Best Western in Woburn, which is an easy 8 minute drive up the highway. The festival rate is $69 a night for up to 4 person occupancy. Even if you don't have a car, you can share taxis pretty cheaply.

Limited housing is also available with local tango dancers.

Staying in a Hotel

Hyatt Place - 116 Riverside Ave, Medford, 781-395-8500

The location of the Hyatt Place, combined with their discounted rate for festival attendees, makes it a great deal. It's $139 a night for up to four person occupancy. (The non-festival rate is currently $189 a night.) Rooms have two double beds and a comfortable pull-out couch, so if you are 4 people sharing a room this works out to about $35 a night per person. Many amenities are included in the price, such as the continental breakfast buffet, complimentary Wi-Fi and high-speed DSL Internet access, 42" flat panel HDTV, refrigerator, coffeemaker, hair dryer and iron/ironing board in suite, laundry facility, an indoor heated pool, and a fitness center (in case you're not getting enough exercise. ;). Are you looking for someone to share a room with you? Check out the Forum page.

Call 781-395-8500 to make your reservation and ask for the Tango Festival rate. If you encounter any problems you can ask for Macaire Matchett in Sales at the Medford Hyatt Place.

The Hyatt Place sold out last year at the very beginning of October, so be sure to book your room as soon as possible.

Best Western New Englander -
1 Rainin Road, Woburn, 781-935-8160

We've also arranged a special rate of $69 a night for up to four person occupancy at the Best Western in Woburn. (The non-festival rate is currently $109 a night.) Rooms have two double beds, so if you are 4 people sharing a room this works out to about $18 a night per person! The Best Western is about an 8 minute drive from Medford, but the drive up the I-93 freeway is so straightforward that you can't get lost! (If you don't have a car, you can find phone numbers for Woburn taxis on the Transport page and share taxis with fellow dancers.) Amenities include a complimentary breakfast, complimentary high-speed Internet access, an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, and free parking. Are you looking for someone to share a room with you? Check out the Forum page.

Call 781-935-8160 to book a room and ask for the Tango Festival rate. You can talk directly to Alisha Viola in Sales if you'd like.

You might try Priceline.com. You can look for hotels in Somerville or Cambridge for a more urban setting, or check out the map and find your own nearby town.

Staying with the Locals

There is limited housing available with local Boston tango dancers. Go to the Forum page for information on requesting local housing. Please note, though, that if you stay with a local we hope that you can rent a car! Getting to the festival venue is difficult without one, since buses are limited and they stop running from about midnight to 6am. See the Transportation page for more information on how to get around.

If you are able to host out-of-town dancers in your home, please contact Tova directly.
